What we keep, and why

Short, because there isn’t much

  1. 1

    What we keep about you

When you sign in with GitHub we store your GitHub id, username, display name, avatar and primary email address. We never see your GitHub password and we ask for no other access.

  2. 2

    Payments

You pay on a page hosted by Stripe; we never see your card. We keep a Stripe session and payment id for each takeover, plus a record of what you paid and of any refund or rebate. Charges appear on statements under the account that runs this site.

  3. 3

    The page you submit

When you check a link we fetch it, take a screenshot and run automated safety checks on the text and the image. The link, screenshot and check results are stored, and the page you publish is shown to everyone, with your GitHub username, until the next takeover.

  4. 4

    Email

We write only when something happens to a takeover of yours: your page went live, someone took it over, or money is coming back to you. No newsletters and no third-party marketing.

  5. 5

    Cookies

One session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

  6. 6

    Who else sees data

Stripe (payments), GitHub (sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and OpenAI (automated screening of submitted pages, when configured). Each receives only what its job needs.

  7. 7

    Keeping and deleting

Records of payments, refunds and rebates are kept for as long as the site runs, since they are the receipts. Ask and we will delete your account and everything not needed for a financial record.

Questions or a deletion request: apoorv@vaaya.ai. See also the rules.
